The
Five Elements in Oriental Medicine
|
Oriental Medicine easily and effectively treats and helps
prevent many common childhood ailments such as coughs, colds,
glue ear and tummy upsets as well as chronic conditions
such as sleep problems, asthma, eczema and ADD/ADHD. This
is achieved using gentle acupuncture techniques, herbal
medicine, therapeutic massage and simple modifications to
the diet.
In many ways children's bodies and immune systems are immature
until they are about 7-8 years old. During these early years
children are prone to many common ailments. Using Oriental
Medicine for both prevention and treatment is ultimately
strengthening and supportive of their developing immune
systems. Oriental Medicine sees our life force as being
produced from the energy of the food we eat and the air
we breathe. Once imbalances are addressed the combination
of a good diet, adequate exercise and sufficient rest ensures
that you are on your way to a happy, healthy child.
Although children are easily susceptible to illnesses,
they also bounce back to health quickly and easily so it
often takes only a short course of treatments together with
appropriate life style changes before improvements are evident.
As a mother of two young children Tania directly understands
the challenges involved in working with children and has
first hand experience of the benefits of Oriental Medicine.
She has taught infant massage for many years and as a wholefood
counsellor has excellent weening and dietary advice.
