Trigrams

The Eight Trigrams

The I Ching (Book of Changes) is one of the oldest of the Chinese Classics. It contains several layers of text with numerous levels of interpretation. It is a book of fundamental principles and can be read as a guide to comprehensive self-realisation.

Ba Gua

The Ba Gua

The eight triagrams that are used to make up the sixty-four hexagrams have close correspondences with the five fundamental elements of Oriental Medicine.

Using the 9 Star Ki system of astrology to determine one's birth correspondence with the eight triagrams allows for a greater insight into our vulnerabilities and potentials because of the strong link between mind and body. The primary universal constant is change; our ability to adapt to change gives an indication of one's level of health; it is only resistance to change that results in ill health.
